Strike in Sakana

Different social organizations have called an strike in Sakana (Nafarroa south basque country). Sakana is a valley of Nafarroa where basque pro-independence  and socialists organizations have a lot of support. During the economic crisis, a lot of factories are closing or firing people. According to them, the government of Nafarroa (UPN right-wing and unionist) is ignoring the problem.

Mayors, LAB (pro-independence and socialist trade union), EHNE (ranchers and farmers basque trade union), different social organizations, workers and dismissed workers have supported the calling of strike.

They have asked a reindustrialization plan. They have also asked the right to receive education, healthcare and social protection. At the same day of the strike, they have called a demonstration in Iruña (capytal of Nafarroa south basque country).
